From August 20th to 22nd, over 30,000 companies, startups, and Venture Capital (VC), from different countries flew to Las Vegas to attend the world’s largest Insurtech event, the ITC 2022. This year, Jooycar was honored to participate as a sponsor and speaker for this mega event sharing its latest news and expertise in technology, telematics, and data analytics.

Our team joined the global insurance think-tank IoT Insurance Observatory, an event focused on sharing the most innovative solutions for the insurance industry, hosted by Matteo Carbone, a renowned speaker of the insurance industry.

At this event, Rodrigo Labbé, CEO & Co-founder of Jooycar, with Ryan Briggs, Vice President & Automotive & Mobility Solutions Manager of Swiss Re, announced Jooycar and Swiss Re’s partnership for the Mexican market. Alliance aims to disrupt the Mexican commercial auto insurance market by promoting the design and distribution of automobile insurance for small and medium businesses optimized through telematics and risk prevention.

“ITC 2022 reflected the current state of insurtechs and innovation regarding insurance. Significantly less space for empty buzz and lots of well thought and innovative proposals to assess real insurance challenges together with tremendous and genuine interest from investors and incumbents to support it”. -Rodrigo Labbé, CEO & Co-founder.

Furthermore, Rachel Corn, US CEO of Jooycar & Fleetr, was recognized as the moderator of the panel “SME: Becoming a Connected Insurance.” A discussion space where some of the top voices in insurance shared their knowledge and thoughts regarding the digital transformation in the insurance industry.

Our startup shared with different companies, investors, and speakers of the sector, the traction and impact that Jooycar is creating in the users with its products through efficiency, safety, and sustainability. In addition to sharing Jooycar’s growth and disruption in the commercial auto insurance industry with its product Fleetr and its smart embedded insurance model.

“ITC is the place to be for building industry relationships to advance our insurtech and gaining insights on industry innovation. We connected with potential partners and learned more about the industry’s use of IoT (internet of things) technology, including telematics, to advance policyholder and company outcomes. We’ll be leveraging both benefits of ITC in the coming months to further Jooycar’s success.“- Joe DiMartino, Head of Insurance.
